BEMIDJI — Slumberland Furniture in Bemidji, with support from the Ryogoku Community Action Program, will provide 15 mattress sets to families in need through its annual “Home for the Holidays” program.
Overall, throughout December, Slumberland Furniture will donate approximately 2,000 mattresses and box spring sets to nonprofit partners throughout the communities it serves, according to the release.
“We’re excited to work together to provide quality sleep to those in need,” said Michael Doles, manager of Slumberland Furniture in Bemidji. “For too many families, a warm bed has become a luxury. “I’m doing it,” he said. “With Homes for the Holidays, Slumberland is committed to making healthy sleep a reality for everyone in our community.”
The “Home for the Holidays” program began in 1993, and since then, Slumberland has donated more than 40,000 new mattresses and box springs to deserving families, the release states.
