Google’s improved weather UI begins rolling out to non-Pixel smartphones

Google’s weather UI received a major redesign in October to make checking the weather easier and simpler for Pixel smartphone users. And now, the revised design is finally coming to devices beyond the almighty Pixel.

The redesigned look allows users to easily view three different weather options, get today’s or tomorrow’s weather forecast, or see a complete 10-day forecast. These options were also available in the previous design, but users had to switch tabs to access different options. All you have to do now is scroll down to find out more about the weather, including humidity levels, wind speed, barometric pressure, and UV index.

As expected, the redesigned look of Google’s weather UI is now available on the company’s devices first.as 9to5Google However, they point out that the newly updated weather forecast is rolling out to other devices, albeit very slowly, with Samsung phones leading the way. Presumably, the new design should be rolled out to other Android devices at some point. With a little luck, users will be able to see the new UI on their Android smartphones by the end of the year. Weather UI is not technically an app. It’s built into the Google Search app, so android mobile phone. To access it, users must type “weather” in the search bar. Although the tool is becoming more and more like an app, it still relies on Google Nowcast and other data sources for weather forecasts.

Over the past few months, Google has invested heavily in making weather easier to understand. In addition to changing the look of the weather UI, the company also science last month. This model, called GraphCast, utilizes AI to (surprisingly) create highly accurate 10-day weather forecasts in less than a minute. This predictive model adds to the company’s impressive set of weather forecasting systems.
