Three titles will be decided Wednesday on the first day of the 2023 UIL State Soccer Championships.
Louisville OL Devin Love transfers from San Diego State to Jackson State
Louisville offensive lineman Devin Love has decommitted from San Diego State University and transferred to Jackson State University.
Gunter is on the verge of winning back-to-back state titles despite undersized QB Walker Overman.
Gunter (15-0), which has won 30 straight games, will play El Maton Tidehaven (14-0) looking for its fourth state title. Kickoff is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at AT&T Stadium.
Budding dynasties Duncanville and DeSoto are built to last in Texas high school football.
Duncanville has appeared in the Class 6A Division I championship five times since 2018. DeSoto has advanced to the state finals three times since 2016. But both programs have some of the nation’s top juniors, and their reign may just be beginning.
