A former aide to President Donald Trump involved in a civil lawsuit filed by Hunter Biden is asking a judge to throw out the lawsuit.

Former President Trump aide Garrett Ziegler has filed a motion with a federal judge in the Central District of California to dismiss the lawsuit based on “frivolous legal challenges.”

“Plaintiffs allege that there are no facts showing that Defendants accessed any computers, storage, or services owned or exclusively controlled by Plaintiffs,” the motion filed by Ziegler’s attorneys states. Says.

Ziegler’s lawyers also argue that their client’s posts sharing the contents of the laptop “constitute protected activity because they involve public figures and are of public importance.”

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, alleges that Ziegler, his company Marco Polo USA, and 10 unidentified associates have stolen “tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, and dozens of other documents” deemed “pornographic” from his laptop. Ziegler’s lawyers argue that Biden’s lawsuit is “designed to chill the legitimate exercise of the constitutional right to free speech.”

In a 14-page civil complaint, Biden’s lawyers say that for more than two years, Ziegler waged a “sustained, unobtrusive and obsessive campaign” against the entire Biden family. It claims to be a “fanatic” who “spent countless hours accessing, tampering with, and manipulating.” , working with his colleagues to “tamper with, copy, or damage computer data.”

Hunter Biden currently faces nine criminal charges in the same California state court where he is facing three civil lawsuits.
