Over the years, Samsung’s camera app has added many features based on user feedback. For example, we’ve improved the persistence of various settings.
Not so long ago, camera apps weren’t able to retain that many custom settings between sessions. For example, if you change the shooting mode and close the app, the last shooting mode will not be remembered. The camera app always defaults to photo mode on startup.
The latest camera app and One UI version now have an entire menu dedicated to camera settings that users can persist. That’s all you need to know.
Samsung camera settings to keep
The latest camera apps include “Settings you want to save” A dedicated menu that allows users to specify which settings they want to remember between sessions. These settings include:
- camera mode:Remembers the last used camera mode.
- selfie angle: Remembers the last selfie camera angle (standard or wide) used.
- high image resolution: Leave 50MP mode enabled instead of switching to default.
- filter: Remember the filters applied for each mode instead of deleting them every time you close the camera.
- super steady: Turn on Super Steady in video mode between sessions.
- portrait zoom: Remember the zoom setting you used for portrait mode on the rear camera.
You can turn these camera settings on or off individually to customize your experience to your liking. To access these settings, camera For apps, gear Click on the icon and scroll down to access “Settings you want to save”
