Dyson has entered the noise-canceling headphone market with the launch of Dyson Zone, which provides high immersion and comfortable wearing with low distortion, the company’s Korean division announced on Tuesday.
According to Dyson Korea, the new product is equipped with a lithium-ion battery that can be charged to 100 percent in three hours via the onboard USB Type-C port. It can also provide ultra-low distortion sound for up to 50 hours.
“The headphones offer advanced active noise reduction and high-fidelity audio reproduction across the entire audio spectrum. Dyson Zone headphones are equipped with a total of 11 microphones, eight of which reduce noise pollution by up to 40 decibels. It is used to reduce and monitor ambient sound 384,000 times per second,” the company said.
To provide true sound across the full spectrum, the new product automatically reproduces frequencies ranging from 6 hertz to 21 kilohertz, the company added.
Dyson said the product is designed to provide maximum comfort to users.
“Inspired by the shape and design of a horse’s saddle, Dyson Zone noise-cancelling headphones are designed to distribute weight evenly on both sides of the head, rather than on the top of the head. It has been designed with head types from all over the world in mind and can be adapted to all owners,” Dyson said.
Users can also control the product via the MyDyson mobile app. You can adjust airflow speed, noise reduction mode, and audio equalization.
Mr. Fenner, a well-known British DJ and music producer, also shared his experience using Dyson’s new product. He mixes his K-POP and collaborates with his K-POP artists representing Korea to produce records.
“My goal as a DJ is to mix different tracks. It’s very important to have good headphones that allow me to hear all the frequencies clearly. This allows me to equalize tracks on the fly. Prices for the new product start at 869,000 won ($665).
