Jung Hoo Lee was introduced to the media by the San Francisco Giants during a press conference at Oracle Park on Friday. The Giants are excited to acquire the 25-year-old center fielder, who signed a six-year, $113 million contract with the team.

Fans were relieved to have such a talented player, but many lost their minds when they saw Lee’s dog, Kao. The SF Giants X account posted a video containing snaps of both Lee and Kao with the following caption:

“You probably didn’t know that Jung Hoo Lee came with a plus one 🐶”

Fans were quick to share their thoughts, with many comparing his dog Decoy to Shohei Ohtani, which was a major storyline during his free agent days.

Many others were simply blown away by Kao’s cuteness.

Lee settled in San Francisco after coming close to signing with the San Diego Padres, so fans will be hoping the center fielder can make an impact in 2024.

Giants introduce Lee Jung-hoo to the media

Much has been said about Jung Hoo Lee’s contract value, and the consensus is that the Giants may have overpaid him. Former Giants right-hander Ryan Sadowski told The Athletic:

“They paid a ceiling price for him. I’m biased towards the Giants, so I hope he hits that ceiling.”

It’s not necessarily a glowing compliment, but there’s certainly room for optimism when it comes to Lee. At Friday’s press conference, Giants director of operations Farhan Zaidi was bullish about Lee’s future.

“We think this is absolutely perfect. As we’ve talked about going into this offseason, our goals are to be more athletic as a team from an offensive standpoint, to get more It was about making contact and playing the kind of baseball that the industry expects.”

“Honestly, when we looked at our options this offseason, there was no player or target that was a more perfect fit for what we wanted to accomplish than Jonghoo.”

Regarding Mr. Lee, he said:

“Ever since I came here as a young ballplayer, I’ve always loved the Bay Area. I’m here to win, and I’ll always do what’s best for my teammates and friends. Let’s go Giants!”

It will be interesting to see how Lee Jong-hoo adapts to MLB as fans crave success and get more glimpses of their beloved dog.
