Samsung is stepping up its strategy when it comes to its low-cost Galaxy A series phones. After multiple leaks and mistaken postings on Walmart, we finally have information about the new Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 devices from Samsung itself. This time, both phones feature a 6.5-inch OLED display, a first for the low-cost A1X and A2X series phones.
The Galaxy A15 and A25 also sport a modern design reminiscent of Samsung’s current flagship phones. Another upgrade comes in the form of four years of Android updates and five years of security patches for both phones. We previously saw Samsung extend this offer to the Galaxy A24 as well, so it’s no surprise that the A25 gets the same treatment. However, this is the first time that Samsung is offering a long-term update promise for its Galaxy A1X series phones.
Samsung is also introducing what it calls “Key Island” on the Galaxy A15 and A25 5G. This is basically a marketing adaptation of the raised platform on the side that houses the power and volume keys. Samsung says the Key Island is intended to create a firm and comfortable grip.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A15 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, while the 4G LTE version of the phone is powered by a Helio G99 processor. The Galaxy A25 5G is powered by the Exynos 1280 chip, which is also found in the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A53. All phones ship with One UI 6 based on Android 14 out of the box.
The Galaxy A15 LTE and A15 5G feature 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Galaxy A25, on the other hand, comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM options, but only 128GB of internal storage. Strangely, the Galaxy A15 Duo supports expandable storage up to 1TB, while the Galaxy A25 does not. All three phones are powered by 5,000mAh batteries and support 25W fast wired charging.
The Galaxy A15 series (both 5G and LTE versions) and Galaxy A25 5G feature a 50MP main camera, with the latter supporting optical image stabilization (OIS). The Galaxy A15 Duo comes with a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera, completing the triple rear camera setup. Galaxy A25 has a higher resolution 8MP ultra-wide shooter combined with his 2MP camera on the back. All phones come with a 13MP selfie shooter.

Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t launched any new Galaxy A series phones in the US. Currently only officially available in Vietnam.
Galaxy A15 LTE price starts from VND 4,990,000 (approx. $205), while Galaxy A15 5G costs VND 6,290,000 (approx. $259). Galaxy A25 price starts from 6,590,000 VND (~$271). That being said, we expect cell phone pricing in the US to be very different from pricing in Vietnam. The A15 5G was incorrectly listed on Walmart for $139. The Galaxy A15 series is expected to sell for less than $200 in the US, while the Galaxy A25 5G should slightly exceed that price mark.
All the phones are available in four colorways: Personality Yellow, Fantasy Blue, Optimistic Blue, and Van Rin Black.
